Psyche died in 1945. In 1939 George, b 1910 and Joan [Psyche] b 1912, are living in Chelsea. George is the managing director of a cast iron foundry, Joan is a musical actress.

Psyche grew up as a dancer, performing from an early age. She appeared in various plays in the 1930s. After her marriage in 1935 she acted less often.

During World War 2 she put her racing car experience to practise and  served in the Mechanised Transport Corps, reaching the rank of Commandant.
