302 High Street Cottenham

300 – 302 High Street, The Homestead, Cottenham

History of 302 High Street

The original house here burned down in 1855. A new house was built together with farmyard. A barn had doors back and front split into three levels.

A Mr Morris adapted the ban to grow orchids commercially in the early 1970s but lost his stock during a frost in the fuel crisis. (Cottenham in Focus, 2002)
