History of 8 - 12 High Street

Listed building

Pair of cottages [10 & 12], now one dwelling late C17. Timber framed, plaster rendered on brick plinth with steeply pitched roof now with corrugated iron but originally thatched. Original gault brick ridge stack and later end and side stacks. Single range plan with lobby entry. Four windows, including one to left hand with leaded lights. Doorway to lobby entry. Interior: Has stop chamfered main beam and abutting inglenook hearths.
