Hinxton War memorial (MoC201/54)

War Memorial, Hinxton

History of the War Memorial

Listed Building

Hinxton’s War Memorial, on the junction of the High Street and Church Green, is listed at Grade II for the following reasons: * Historic interest: as an eloquent witness to the tragic impact of world events on the local community, and the sacrifice it made in the conflicts of the C20; * Design: a modest yet well executed memorial; * Group value: three other listed structures stand around the road junction.
