History of 4 Glebe Way

Northern side of building was a weaving shed and once contained a loom operated by Charles Lucas, father of Smith Lucas.

c1870: site of “Keeping School”. Run by Hannah Wakefield it operated as a child minders and nursery school to enable parents to work.
