History of 16, 17 & 18 Cambridge Road, Madingley

Listed building:

Row of three cottages, now two. Mid C18 with roof raised and first floor added mid C19. Red brick. Flemish bond with mid-late C19 roof of pantiles and two internal stacks. Single range plan with kitchen wing at rear. Two storeys. Ground floor is mid C18 with original doorway opening, now with late C18 raised and fielded panelled door. Three C20 casements in original mid-C18 arches and openings. There is some repair to the brickwork at left hand. Mid-late C19 three, red brick band between storeys. First floor also of similar but later red brick.
