The Dower House (The Old House)(The Cottage), 26 Lower Street, Thriplow

History of the Dower House

Listed Building

Late C17 with C19 alterations.

CW sent this note in 2026:

The Dower House (The Old House) has two significant architectural features: it has a cellar, which is very unusual, and it has an upstairs inglenook fireplace. This suggests that it was not always a simple cottage. It also has a Victorian schoolhouse in the garden.
