Head of household in 1901 is James Sanders Davies, a 49 year old builder’s clerk from Spaldwick, Huntingdonshire. He is married to 47 year old Mary Jane (nee Johnson), who was born in Walpole St Peter, Norfolk. The couple have two children, Theodora Gertrude (14) and Neville Taylor (11). The children were both born in Cambridge.
By 1911 Mary has been widowed, James died in 1908. Theodora is still living with her monther. She is now 24 and working as a daily governess. The census records that she was born on Tenison Road.
Arthur Edward Shanks died here in 1921. He is buried in Mill Road Cemetery.
