Miss Signe Elfrida Laven, teacher of Educational Gymnastics Masseuse

Born in 1885 in Holmestad, Sweden, she was a pioneer of physiotherapy and set up a war emergency massage corps in Cambridge in WWI. In the 1911 census she was living in Harston House, Harston with several other Swedish gymnasts.
