1 – 9 Brunswick Terrace is a Building of Local Interest.
The history of this street is quite complex. Most of the houses known as Brunswick Place were to be found along what became Maids Causeway.
Until 1901 therewas a line of terraced houses on the west side divided into Brunswick Place (25 – 29) and Brunswick Cottages (1 – 8). On the east side there seems to have been on Brunswick House plus a couple of small properties that vanished in the 20th century.
By 1901 on the east side appeared Brunswick Terrace, originally numbered 1 – 5.
By 1913 the whole street had been renumbered, odd numbers on th west, even on the east, and the whole street was identified as Brunswick Terrace.
