C15th – C16th: plots I-II (nos 3-5) were owned by Christ’s College. A considerable number of the college’s staff – particularly beadles – came to lease these plots. (See Grand Arcade Archaeological Report pub 2019)

1919:

David Scates was living here with his daughter Jane Saunders Harrod at the time of his death on the 13th May 1919.  David was a retired tailor and had lived on Sturton Street for over thirty years.
