History of the Green Man Grantchester
Listed building:
House. C17 origin, and C19. Timber-framed, rendered, and brick, painted.
16th / 17th century house: There was pub known as the Three Tuns but this disappeared after 1809.
1847 first record as a public house and coaching inn
There is a 500 year old elm tree outside which was split in two by the wind in 1974.
