Council Houses, Hilton

History of the Council Houses

In A Maze of Memories, this row of council houses is described in 1948 as still having bucket lavatories in a tiny room next to the back door. They each had a bath in a bathroom but with only a cold water tap. Water had to be heated in an electric copper.
