History of Sawston Aerated Water Company

Possible location

Detail from an 1885 Ordnance Survey map showing pink-shaded buildings, roads, labelled almshouses, and scattered tree symbols.

Sawston OS 1885

In 1881 James Blake was living on the High Street, Sawston, near the Alms Houses. As this location was near the river, it seems possible that the aerated water factory was nearby.
