C L L Aldridge

SM sent this note in 2023: CLL Aldridge was Mrs Lucie Aldridge, former wife of the artist John Aldridge RCA. They lived at Place House in Great Bardfield, Essex from 1933 and were married in 1940. They separated around 1960 and were eventually divorced. Lucie (Cecilia Lucie Leeds) Aldridge was a designer and rugmaker. She died in 1974. There are many paintings of her by John Aldridge, some at the Fry Gallery in Saffron Walden.
