1893 – 1912

Head of household is Joseph Easton, a 42-year-old whitesmith who was born in St Ives, Huntingdonshire, but grew up at 87 Ainsworth Street.  His brother Alfred lives at 12 Stone Street.

Joseph married Caroline Brown Chapman in 1886.  In 1891, Caroline and Joseph were living at 84 Sturton Street.  Electoral registers show that they have moved here to 5 Stone Terrace by 1893.

The couple have four children.  Louisa (actual name Caroline Louisa Gustava!) is 14, Horace John Charles is 11, Winifred Eva 8 and Leonard Joseph, 5.

Winifred died in 1907 and Caroline died in 1909.

Joseph and his children are still at 5 Stone Terrace in 1911.  He is a whitesmith at the Leys School.  Louisa is working as a tailoress, Horace is a waiter and Leonard works as a packer for a grocer.

Louisa marries Edwin Selwyn Phillips early in 1912.  They have two daughters.  Sadly, Edwin dies on 26 Sep 1917.  He was a Serjeant in the 1st Battalion of the Cambridgeshire Regiment.

The family move to 4 Union Road in 1912.

Horace and Leonard both serve as Privates with the 1st Cambridgeshire Regiment in World War 1.

1912 – 1936

William Giddings and his family move here from 7 Stone Terrace. Electoral rolls show him here until at least1936.
