Madingley Mill, Mill Farm

History of Madingley Mill

Listed building:

Post Mill. Timber-framed, weatherboarded on brick plinth. Boat cap and four patent sails. Removed from Ellington, Huntingdonshire in 1936. Inscription inside the Mill “Walter Ambrose Harding of Madingley Hall caused this Windmill to be brought from Ellington in Huntingdonshire and to be rebuilt here on the site of the old mill which fell down in July 1909. Mr C J Ison, builder of Histon finished it the 1st June 1936”.
