Hao ZhengHao Zheng is Co-Founder and CEO of a Cambridge based company called RoboK, which is an AI-powered computer vision company focused on improving safety and efficiency in industrial workplaces. Her guiding belief is reflected in her statement: “Technology comes at a cost, but safety should not.”
Prior to entrepreneurship, Hao worked in project management at Arm for two years in Cambridge and spent time consulting at Deloitte developing exposure to business advisory work and technology-focused problem solving.
Hao holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge where she was actively involved in entrepreneurship and won the King’s College Entrepreneurship Prize.
Living and working in Cambridge helped bridge her academic background with practical industry experience, ultimately supporting her transition into scaling a deep-tech safety-focused company.
This story was shared by a volunteer as part of the Broken Tech, Broken Earth project which aims to co-create events with the local community about the social, historical and environmental impacts of technology. This project is externally funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund as part of the Museum Association. The project is led by the Centre for Computing History, which is a registered educational charity and independent museum located in Cambridge. Our mission is to use our collections, displays, learning programmes, and events to engage the public with the developments in computing over the past 80 years.
