Listed Building

The home of Lancelot (Capability) Brown, Lord of the Manor of Fenstanton. Late C17 manor house.

Gerty Peet (1872-1941) was the daughter of a Particular Baptist Minister who lived at the Manor House. She was a Cambridge graduate. It is believed that she was jilted on the eve of her wedding. After her death a wedding dress and veil were found in their box wrapped in blue tissue paper. She owned. row of cottages in Hall Green lane which she kept in repair herself.
