In 1851 the family were at the Mill House in Castle Camps. This location cannot be found at the moment. As Castle Camps is at the Essex / Cambridgeshire watershed a location for a watermill is difficult to identify. Family history says that there was a fire at the mill which led to John becoming bankrupt.

In 1861 the family were at the Mill House in Wicken Essex

In 1881 the family were at the mill in Linton.
