Birth of Barnet William Beales, son of Barnet and Elizabeth Beales. He took over the Panton Brewery in 1887. Beales lived with his wife and children on the second story, above his tailor shop on street level.
Beales was a tailor specializing in creating robes, garments typically used for religious services and academic institutions. Beales was also the leaseholder for the Bird Bolt Inn.
He died at his home at 24 Glisson Road aged 91.
