1900
The story of Selina Jane Court is interesting. She worked for a short time circa 1900 for the eminent theologian Rev Professor Glyn Handley Moule. Moule is recorded as living in Station Road in 1900 but was appointed Bishop of Durham in 1901 and he doesn’t appear in the 1901 census in Cambridge. So far the house in Station Road can’t be identified precisely. Selina is however recorded in 1901 as a ladies maid at the grand house of Menabilly in Cornwall. By 1911 she is indeed widowed and living with her father as a dressmaker with the name of Selina Jane Mear. The premises of Ralph Starr the photographer were at 108 Fitzroy Street.
