Rehana Al-Soltane is a learning designer and educator specialising in AI literacy, computer science education, and technology-enabled learning. As Learning Manager for AI Literacy at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, she helps develop initiatives that equip learners with the knowledge and confidence to engage with artificial intelligence.

Previously, she was a Computer Science Specialist at Khan Lab School in Silicon Valley and a Fulbright Scholar while completing a Master of Education in Learning Design, Innovation and Technology at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. “AI literacy is about giving every learner the confidence to understand, question, and shape the technologies that are transforming our world.”

Rehana has also led educator communities through the Micro:bit Educational Foundation and taught programming with Code First Girls. Her work focuses on making emerging technologies accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for learners around the world.

This story was shared by a volunteer as part of the Broken Tech, Broken Earth project which aims to co-create events with the local community about the social, historical and environmental impacts of technology. This project is externally funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund as part of the Museum Association. The project is led by the Centre for Computing History, which is a registered educational charity and independent museum located in Cambridge. Our mission is to use our collections, displays, learning programmes, and events to engage the public with the developments in computing over the past 80 years.
