Elsie Widdowson, Barrington

Elsie Widdowson’s work with Robert McCance on nutrition was of major significance during WWII. They were responsible for formulating the wartime rationing of the country.

Hall’s grocery and Wilkin’s bakery. Wilkin’s was the bakery used by Dr Widdowson to develop the healthy bread recipe in WWII.
