Number 44 is one of a terrace of four houses standing on the east side of Ainsworth Street.

The Franklin family had moved to 94 Ainsworth Street by 1891.

William [Alfred Hugh] Peddle, son, 1, b. Cambridge

William Peddle married Alice Runham at Holy Trinity on 2 April 1889.  He gave his address as 44 Ainsworth Street.

They moved to 172 Sturton Street. By 1911 William was the Assistant Inspector of Boy Messengers at the Post Office, and baby William had become a town postman.

William and Alice are buried in Mill Road Cemetery.

Married 17 years, 4 children

Alfred and Florence Watts had been married for 17 years and had 4 children. The family moved to 56 Ainsworth Street by 1914.

Joan Audrey Pilswoth, daughter, 3 months, b. Cambridge

Frederick Pilsworth worked for R I Severs, Printer (Proprietor P A Parfitt), Hobson’s Passage.
